Two hours of behind-the-scenes fun on the farm. Meet and play with our smallest farm animals. Feed them their favourite treats and drinks. Come on a storytelling expedition around the farm to hear more about our animals and what they get up to.

We’ll hop into the animal pens, where only our rangers normally go. There’s crafting to make an enrichment toy for your favourite member of our animal family and something for you to take home too.

There’ll be time for a snack and a drink, and we’ll award you with a certificate of attendance to congratulate you on being a junior farmer!

Tuesday 28th May, 10am - 12pm. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Adult Annual Pass Holders are free.

A whole day of farming fun just for kids! Help our farm rangers with feeding, mucking out and handling of our animals. Take our sheep and goats for their walks. Learn how to do health checks, with games and fun activities too.

Wednesday 29th May, 9am - 3pm

£30 per child. Suitable for children 8-16yrs.

Booking is essential. Children can be left in our care and will be supervised at all times. 

Children need to bring snacks, lunch and drinks. Children must wear appropriate clothing, suitable for the weather. Wellies or strong shoes (no open-toe footwear) are essential because they will be going into animal pens. 

The session will start promptly at 9am. Please ensure you arrive 10 minutes before this start time, to allow for event registration. Your child will need to be dropped off and picked up from Occombe Farm Park & Play Reception.

Enhance your day out at Occombe Farm by joining our lamb feeding experience – a seasonal activity that allows you to get up close and personal to our cute and fluffy lambs! 

What happens on this experience?

We're offering you the exclusive opportunity to help our Farm Rangers to make the lambs' milk bottles and help bottle feed them. You'll have the chance to take some fantastic photos and even spend some time playing with our little lambs!  

The experience will last around 30 minutes and includes, bottle making, lamb feeding, playtime with the lambs and a personalised certificate to commemorate your special day.

Important notes: 

This experience does not include admission to Occombe Farm Park and Play. Separate admission fees are required for access to the farm park and play where the experience takes place.

It is recommended that pregnant women, or anyone who thinks they could be pregnant, should not take part in this experience or be the supervising adult.

This experience is only suitable for those aged 3 years or over.

The £8.00 charge is for one bottle per lamb. A maximum of 4 people per bottle applies, this can be two adults and two children or one adult and three children. All children must be accompanied by a supervising adult. 

The Lamb Feeding Experience will have limited availability and must be booked in advance. 

Embark on a cooking adventure! We're making pasta from scratch, a delicious tomato sauce to smother it with and some other seasonal treats made with picks from our garden. We'll enjoy our creations for lunch and learn more about where our food comes from and about healthy eating too.

Afterwards, we’ll pop into the farm to meet our cute animals and learn how we care for them. They'll be plenty of time for play after the session too.

Introducing Tots and Tales, the ultimate farm adventure designed especially for you and your tot. Immerse yourselves in a magical session with animal cuddles, farmyard tales and singalongs. A journey of discovery just for tots, where they’ll handle adorable guinea pigs, bunnies and chicks in an interactive barn experience. Go out on the paddocks to feed the goats and goat kids, chickens and ducks. At beanbag circle time hear stories and have a sing-along too, while enjoying homemade cookies and squash. Every tot gets a special certificate marking their special farm adventure.

10am - Animal Encounters: Meet and handle adorable small animals like guinea pigs, rabbits, and chicks.

Paddock Adventures: Feed goats, chickens and ducks in the paddocks.

11am - Beanbag Circle Time: Enjoy homemade cookies and squash while listening to stories and joining in with a singalong.

Certificate Celebration: Each child receives a special certificate to mark their farm adventure!

Kids! Come on a Forest Skills adventure! Explore Occombe’s own woodland Nature Trail with wild, fun and inspirational activities. Connecting children with their natural environment through hands-on fun activities including den building and marshmallow toasting.

Our sessions support play, exploration and supported risk-taking. All things to help develop confidence, self-esteem and learn new skills through first-hand experience in a beautiful natural setting.

Thursday 30th May, 10am – 12pm

Suitable for children 3-16yrs. Booking Essential. Children can be left in our care and will be supervised at all times. This event takes place on the Occombe Farm Nature Trail and includes entry into Occombe Farm Park & Play afterwards (child should be accompanied by a paying adult for entry).

£18 per child

Children should wear clothing and footwear suitable for outdoor activities, including long-sleeved tops, long trousers and sun protection if applicable.
